As indicated by its namesake, the Rambler Overdrive is Rambler Effects' flagship overdrive. An adaptation of the Marshall Bluesbreaker™ circuit, the Rambler Overdrive can go from pushing your amp to the edge of breakup to the roar of a screaming stack and takes several boutique adaptations to the next level.

 The flagship Rambler Overdrive Super Deluxe takes the Rambler moniker to heart.  It's been described as a "library of textures and tones" by those who've flipped through the seemingly endless number of combinations of clipping and boost, and no matter your style (or styles) you will find your sound and a whole lot more.

Controls

• Volume - Sets the overall output level

• Tone - Passive tone control that attenuates more high frequency signal as it is turned counter-clockwise

• Gain - Controls the gain - from a slightly dirty boost to medium overdrive

• Soft Clipping switch

  • 2-way (on/off) - standard clipping or no clipping (boost) settings

  • 3-way (on/off/on) - 2 choices of soft clipping or no clipping

• Hard Clipping switch

  • Activates a Hard Clipping section1

  • Activates the 6-way clipping switch3

• Presence - Further shapes the treble response. Emulates a power amp eq section

• 6-way clipping selector

  • Selects from 6 hard-clipping options

• Boost - Additional JFET Boost

  • Internally activated and adjusted for an "always on" boost3

  • Enhanced Switchable Boost4

  • Second footswitch to activate/deactivate the boost for solos, or use it as a second channel

  • External Boost volume control knob to adjust the boost volume for any setting

• Bright Cut switch -

  • Select between 2 high-pass filters to shave off extreme highs

    • Works great for switching between guitars with single coil and humbucking pickups.

  • Bypass the Bright Cut for full frequency response
