Rambler Effects
HAND-CRAFTED TONE
Welcome! Explore our pedals
My name is Chris Ingham. I am a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, engineer and electronics enthusiast. I have always had a love of great guitar music and great guitar tone, and throughout my career as a musician I have, like many other guitarists, went through my fair share of gear. I decided to try my hand at building a pedal from a kit in early 2020. I was pleased with the results - and I started sourcing my own parts and tapping into the great community of PCB builders to to build my own custom pedals, designed around my needs, and ideal for both playing live and recording in many different venues, and through varying setups and systems.
The result, I am proud to present, is Rambler Effects - hand-made musical effects using the highest quality components available (hand-tested for low tolerance) and focusing on tone, versatility, and reliability. Rambler Effects are hand-crafted and built-to-order, so please allow 1-2 weeks for your pedal to be completed and shipped. I will soon be adding custom options for each effect, but please feel free to contact me with questions or special build requests.
I can’t guarantee that I will be able to meet every special request, but I am always up for a challenge to do something I’ve not done before. Stay tuned for more updates!
We will soon be recording demos of each effect, discussing tone, controls and genre usage. Check out our Shop to learn more!

Rambler Overdrive
As indicated by its namesake, the Rambler Overdrive is Rambler Effects' flagship overdrive. An adaptation of the Marshall Bluesbreaker™ circuit, the Rambler Overdrive can go from pushing your amp to the edge of breakup to the roar of a screaming stack and takes several boutique adaptations to the next level. With the player always first in mind, the Rambler comes in several versions to suit each player’s needs and playing situations. The Deluxe models were designed with the recording or gigging guitarist in mind - pairing clipping options suitable for tailoring your sound to whatever amp is in the back-line, as well as tone-shaping options to tame your tone in harsh rooms.
