PlexiPre Classic Overdrive
PlexiPre Classic Overdrive
The PlexiPre Classic Overdrive is a 5 stage JFET overdrive circuit designed to emulate the sound of an early Marshall® Plexi™ amplifier's overdrive/distortion tones. PlexiPre uses two stages in parallel, one for the bright channel, and one for the normal channel (which emulates the tone of a full stack) as well as a Master Volume to allow for higher gain settings without inviting the cops to your home. The PlexiPre also adds a Baxandall active 3-band eq between the summing of the gain channels and the Master volume, to allow for a familiar amp-like tone stack and enough eq range to work with any guitar and amp.

Controls
Bright - Controls the Gain of the Bright Channel
Normal - Controls the Gain of the Normal Channel
Master - Controls the overall output level of the PlexiPre
The master volume allows you to turn the individual channels up to optimal breakup and then adjust the output volume to a tolerable level.
3-Band Active EQ - used to boost or cut 3 frequency ranges.
